2018 #CREATELOUISIANA TRIBECA FILM INSTITUTE
TRAVEL GRANT
The 2018 #CreateLouisiana Tribeca Film Institute (TFI) Travel Grant, supported by the New Orleans Film Society and the Tribeca Film Institute, will provide a $1,250 travel stipend for one Louisiana filmmaker to attend and participate in TFI Network presented by AT&T. TFI Network is a filmmaker / industry market hosted each year during the Tribeca Film Festival®.
These market meetings provide an opportunity for filmmakers to meet and make valuable connections with industry executives, financiers, producers, marketers, and other key parties who can potentially help their projects. The recipient will also have access to panels, workshops, screenings, and other events during the Tribeca Film Festival.
Applications for this opportunity are currently closed.

THE PROJECT
-

-
Projects must be feature-length narrative or documentary films to qualify.
THE PROCESS
Bryce Norbitz, TFI’s Manager of Artist Programs, will attend the 2017 New Orleans Film Festival. During her time at NOFF (October 13-15), she will meet with 12 finalists for the 2018 #CreateLouisiana TFI Travel Grant. The finalists will be selected from those who apply for this opportunity.
Applicants should understand that the purpose of these meetings is two-fold: (1) to pitch one specific project for a potential invitation to attend TFI Network and (2) to explore the full gamut of TFI Artist Programs with Ms. Norbitz. Each finalist will receive an All Access pass to attend the New Orleans Film Festival (unless the finalist has already received a complimentary pass granted for work screening at NOFF). Finalists should come to their meetings with a prepared pitch (less than 10 minutes) to share with TFI.
From these pitch meetings, Ms. Norbitz will select one recipient for the #CreateLouisiana TFI Travel Grant. The recipient will receive a stipend of $1,250, supported by the New Orleans Film Society, to cover travel and lodging expenses to attend the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival (April 18-29) along with a TFF pass and a chance to be part of the market. The grant recipient will be announced at the 2017 NOFF Awards Ceremony on October 15.
